Celebrating 65 Years - Video

Lisa Holly, President of Berea Moving & Storage and WOOD-LEE International Art Handler, reflects on 65 years of Berea Moving & Storage, founded by her parents in their Berea kitchen after starting as “Melton Trucking,” and later forced to move into an office and warehouse.

She recounts the company’s growth through household moves, work for Baldwin Wallace since the 1970s, and resilience through the 1980s recession, with her father still driving trucks on days off. Lisa joined the business after high school and worked as a residential estimator for decades, following her mother, an early female estimator and owner in the industry.

A pivotal moment came in 1987 when they began moving for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, leading to work with the Cleveland Orchestra and the Natural History Museum. After her parents’ deaths and no succession plan, Lisa and her brother stabilized the business, closed a Chapter 11, and diversified—expanding art handling into WOOD-LEE in 2011, which grew to 45–50% of revenue, including wine storage and transport.
